Synology NAS Recovery Settings

To recover data from a NAS, ReclaiMe NAS Recovery uses SSH connection via port 22 to communicate with a NAS device. Also, SFTP and User Home services along with some additional permissions should be enabled.

Enable SSH port

  1. Open the Control Panel and then click the Terminal & SNMP.

Enable SFTP service

  1. Open the File Services section, then click on the FTP page, enable the SFTP option and click Apply.

  3. Navigate to the User&Group on Advanced page and enable User Home service.

  5. Go to the User page, select your admin user and click the Edit button.
