How to recover deleted files from the Recycle Bin

Deleting files or folders to the Recycle Bin is the simplest type of the deletion. In this case, the deletion process just moves files to the specially designated location. The reverse process (called "to undelete") just moves the file back.

Recovery from the Recycle Bin is trivial - you need to:

  1. find the Recycle Bin icon on your desktop, and double click on the icon to open the Recycle Bin,
  2. select the file or folder you need, right-click it and select Restore.

Note that when using the restoration option of the Recycle Bin, objects will be recovered to the same location where they were before removal. To get the information about the original location of the object, right-click on the desired object in the Recycle Bin, then select Properties and look at the Origin field. If you need to restore the object to the different location, then right-click on the object, select Cut and Paste the object to the new location.

Once you checked the Recycle Bin and found no files in there, you need a special undelete software to get your files back.
